Day time Outreach (Hackney SORT)

Thames Reach is a charity based in London, specialising in helping people with complex and multiple needs, including those associated with poor mental health and substance misuse. We manage a range of services, including street outreach, frontline hostels, day services, specialist supported housing and employment and skills schemes.

The Hackney Street Outreach Team works by quickly responding to referrals of people sleeping rough in the borough. By meeting people at their rough sleeping location, we can effectively support them into accommodation by the quickest possible means. We work with our clients alongside whatever challenges they may be facing or vulnerabilities they might have. This volunteer role allows us to deliver these crucial shifts so that people who are rough sleeping can be quickly identified and supported.
